Batalyse-Collect is a database software designed for research and development, quality management, and production. It automatically gathers test, analysis, measurement, image and production data from 1) network-connected devices 2) other databases via 3) OPC-UA or via 4) data loggers, regardless of file structure or format. With Collect, data can be categorized, sorted, searched, and filtered both automatically and manually. Beyond storing raw data, Collect also captures metadata and allows users to manually upload results files, documentation, or images for further description.

Batalyse-Mind is a Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS). As a flexible database, Mind connects and manages measurement data, analysis results, production parameters, evaluations, project information, knowledge, experience, and process details. Mind also serves as a chemical and material warehouse, an inventory and equipment registry, a hazardous substance database, and a project management system. It can synchronize with or import information from existing databases, making it a central information hub for all employees. Designed as a practical support tool for laboratories, projects, and production management, Mind enables users to document laboratory syntheses, including all materials, tools, equipment, and process parameters. This data can be linked to specific projects along with relevant measurement results. Employees can record observations and experiences, such as when a chemical was opened, whether an experiment was successful (and why), and other critical details. All entries can be filtered and sorted for quick access.

Can I add own formulas, graphs and code?

Data Analysis generates several standardized raw and result data tables, facilitating the application of your own individual formulas and the creation of personalized result graphs. Moreover, Data Analysis incorporates numerous integrated graph customization features, and Batalyse continuously introduces additional features along with pre-defined result graphs at no extra cost.

Collect comprises a standardization module and a calculator, allowing you to standardize any electrochemical, analysis, or production data and apply your unique formulas.

Mind, on the other hand, is an exceptionally flexible NoSQL database that empowers you to include your individual categories and parameters.

Can I use my own (Python) code and third party software with Batalyse?

Yes, you can access data in the database software Collect and Mind through an API and utilize tools such as MatLab and Python. Additionally, you have the option to synchronize your existing databases with Collect and Mind.

Data Analysis is compatible with both your individual databases and the predefined databases provided by your test device supplier.

Which test devices and file formats are supported?

Batalyse consistently incorporates new test device file structures. Electrochemical test files must include a minimum of ‘time,’ ‘voltage,’ and ‘current’ columns, with the exception of EIS files.
Proprietary file formats that necessitate specific software from the corresponding test device supplier cannot be utilized with Data Analysis, except for Biologic .mpr files.

Collect has the capability to save files in any format including image files.

How can I evaluate Biologic .mpr files?

.mpr is a proprietary file format of Biologic. Please install this connector in Origin to work with mpr files – Link

Performance with large file numbers?

File Evaluation: Data Analysis can concurrently assess multiple test files, contingent on your computer hardware. The time required for evaluating each individual test file depends on factors such as your test device (file structure), file size, computer hardware, and the version of your Origin software. Automation of the file evaluation process is possible when combined with Collect. Additionally, if necessary, you can enhance evaluation speed by utilizing multiple dedicated computers.

File Management: The database software Collect and Mind offer flexibility in handling data volume and the number of files. It is important to scale your corresponding hardware and configuration accordingly.
