Collect Data Analysis Mind

2025 is here, and so are tons of exciting new features!
We’ve been busy making improvements—get ready for updates you won’t want to miss for Data Analysis, Collect
and Mind.

  • Data Analysis v2025-01 is officially released: Download “Data Analysis” 2025-01.zip (→  unzip →  drag and drop the .opx installer to open Origin program window)
  • Collect (→ v05.02.2025)
  • Mind (→ v10.02.2025)

If you have any questions or feedback we are looking forward to your mail or Microsoft Teams message.

Thanks for your time and for reading/updating!

Please note: If you plan to use Origin 2025 with Data Analysis, you must install a service pack. Please update to Origin 2025 SR1.

Please note: Batalyse Data Analysis now requires Origin 2022b or later, as our parameters dialog relies on features not available in older versions.

Data Analysis

  • Perform automated pulse / hppc fits and receive insights on electrolyte, concentration and charge transfer resistance. More information: M. Daowd et al., Battery Models Parameter Estimation based on Matlab/Simulink, International Review of Electrical Engineering, 7(4), 4915-4924.
  • New: Analyze Battery Safety Tests! Data Analysis now supports data loggers with multiple channels to record voltage, pressure, and temperature at various cell or module positions. Easily determine onset temperature, emitted gas volume, and maximum temperature. If you conduct safety tests, feel free to contact us!
  •  DCIR – new single and comparison graphs
  • Constant Current – Constant Voltage (CC-CV): Gain deeper insights into the capacity distribution at each stage
  • Enhanced Split Graph Feature: Easily extract individual curves from a graph into separate graph objects. This feature now supports a wider range of graph types.
  • Graphs with an x-axis based on cycle ranges can now be duplicated or multiplied, each with a defined cycle range to focus on specific test sections.
  • EIS graphs can now be selected via the Graph Control tab, and new EIS graphs have been added.

  • Improved support for various test devices e.g. Maccor, Neware, Gamry, Solartron,…

Collect

(Further) Automate Your Test File Evaluation:

  • Add individual components—such as cells, electrolytes, electrodes, separators, and cell formats—to your Collect specimen library and assign them a unique Specimen ID.
  • Use a file name nomenclature that includes Specimen IDs.
  • Upload test files containing one or more Specimen IDs.
  • Collect automatically creates and links a parameter file, using all IDs found in the file name that match entries in the specimen library.
  • Collect automatically triggers the evaluation.
  • Result: The entire process, from gathering files to evaluation, is fully automated. For more details, please refer to the Collect manual.
  • Standardization: Transform raw data from various test devices into your customized target structure effortlessly.
  • The Collect admin can now edit user (group) names
  • Enhanced File Management for Collect Admins: Admins can now better control which files are accessible to employees. New filtering options allow you to sort files by project number and PSP-Element (if integrated with SAP).
  • Fully Customize Your File Name Nomenclature: Take advantage of new pre-defined ‘descriptions’ and a brand-new feature to create your own custom ‘descriptions’ for your file name segments. Easily add or edit your personalized ‘descriptions’ to tailor your file name nomenclature exactly to your needs.
  • Auto-update of benchmarks: If a single test is updated or reevaluated, all connected comparisons involving that test will be automatically updated as well..
  • Manage battery safety test data in Collect. Save information like ‘on-set temperature’, ‘thermal runaway temperature’ and emitted gas volume and correlate them with cell and material parameters.
  • Data loggers generate data tables that include multiple tests as well as irrelevant data from test breaks. You can now connect your data loggers to Collect and extract the relevant data for a specific test from these tables.
  • Fix: We observed an issue where the web browser could block communication and up-/downloads to Collect, preventing test data from being analyzed. To resolve this, we replaced that communication with the Collect API.
  • Some menu names, tooltips, and help buttons have been renamed or updated.

Mind

  • Seamless Integration with PubChem: Automatically import supporting information from PubChem when adding chemicals—now with CID and SID search options included!
  • Easily visualize 2D structures using SMILES
  • Expanded Information Sharing Options: You now have more options for sharing information on labels for chemicals, specimens, and resources, as well as through the QR code feature for externals without ‘Mind’ access.
  • Manage product batches in Mind by copying a selected product with a Batch ID. The product will be automatically clustered into an expandable entry, ensuring a clear and organized overview.

Thanks for your time and reading.

We look forward to your feedback!

Best regards,
