Instructions for creating user tokens

For accessing Collect Database from Data Analysis, Origin.

1) Select Database import

    2) Enter the Collect profile name you created as the Collect admin. Also, provide the Collect frontend URL of your Collect server (e.g., http://localhost:8080). Optional: Enter a user or user group name (e.g., “intern”) if you want to restrict access to specific files for that user.

    Enter the user token that you created as Collect admin and select Submit:

    To create the token connect to your Collect server using a web browser (Microsoft Edge), e.g., by entering localhost:8080/login.

    Log-in as Collect admin.

    Select menu Manage Database and User + Token Management of the profile you want to connect to (here: demo).

    Individual tokens can be created for the manager user group type and all other user (group) names (here intern) using the Edit button in the API tokens column.

    Select token type must be Batalyse Data Analysis. Select Create token, then copy and paste it into the Data Analysis dialog in Origin.

    The number of created tokens is displayed in Existing tokens.

    Using Delete token(s)* will delete all existing tokens of a type. Access to Collect will no longer be possible for this type until a new token is created.

    A token is valid for a maximum of one year by default, and multiple tokens of a type share the same expiration date. Once expired, new tokens must be created.
